Zwerchhau and Friends: Making Use of the Long Edge and Short Edge Alike in Liechtenauer's Longsword
During this class we examined why a number of cuts in the Liechtenauer Tradition of the Longsword are executed with the short (false) edge at some times, while they are done with the long (true ) edge at other times.
The question of how are they done and when are they done in one manner or the other was addressed, as well as why Liechtenauer advocates these techniques in his system.
