Foundations of Sword and Dagger Combat
The focus of this class was to critically dissect the foundational elements of efficient and orderly use of the sword and dagger. We then applied these foundational elements and theory to 4 actions and counter actions. Each action was performed according to the constant and unchanging true foundation of fence: The use of distance, time, proportion, angulation, conservation, and unity. The drills were practiced against both cooperative and antagonistic partners.
